Endpoints
Both are public and need no API key. You can fetch them in CI without provisioning credentials.
| Endpoint | What it returns |
|---|---|
GET /openapi.json | The OpenAPI document for the public API. |
GET /api/schema.json | JSON Schema for the request and response payloads. |
curl https://evaesi.dev/openapi.json -o evaesi-openapi.jsonGenerating a client
There is no published EvaEsi client library yet. Until there is, generating one from the schema is the shortest path to typed calls, and it stays correct when the API changes because you regenerate rather than hand edit.
The samples elsewhere in these docs use plain HTTP for the same reason. They work today with no dependency to install.
Versioning
The path carries the version. Everything under /api/v1 keeps its shape: fields are added, never removed or repurposed. A change that would break a working integration goes to a new version path instead.
Treat unknown fields as forwards compatible and ignore them. A client that rejects a response because it gained a field will break on a release that was safe for everyone else.
